There are so many ways to make literacy learning fun while building foundational skills. In this video, literacy specialist Emily Carley and academic librarian Susan Whitehead sit down to play three literacy games: Alphabet UNO, Alphabet Sequence Game, and Fistful! A VCCCV Syllable Game.
Along the way, they share candid, unscripted conversations about today’s literacy challenges and explore how library workers can make a positive difference in their communities using simple office materials like cardstock, scissors, and plastic storage bags.
