Checklist for Older Youth & Adults
The checklist has been created for your use to help you feel comfortable and supported in this space throughout our time together.
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1) Body Scan & Breath | Treat yourself to 5 breaths. Absorbing new information can be exhausting. Arriving late is completely okay – welcome! |
| 2) What Do You Need to Feel Ready? | This is an opportunity to: Use the bathroom. Get a drink of water. Adjust seating to your comfort. Get acquainted with the space. Get acquainted with the materials in the binder. Let the instructors know how we can support you (we will be walking around). |
| 3) Materials | We have provided a binder, slides with lined margins for notetaking, pencil, pencil sharpener, and fun stickers. Neuroinclusive education removes financial and “executive functioning” barriers so all can fully participate in learning. |
| 4) Communication | All forms of communication are valid. You are welcome to sit, stand, and stim during this presentation. |
